This course introduces the fundamentals of Human Resource Development (HRD), focusing on its definition, key components, and how it differs from Human Resource Management (HRM). Learners will explore core HRD activities like training, organizational development, and career growth. Designed for early-career HR professionals, the course is guided by AP Dr Nur Fatihah, an expert in HRD and organizational development. Delivered fully online with video lectures and self-paced learning materials.
The course emphasises essential helping skills such as active listening, empathy, and non-judgmental communication, while maintaining a clear focus on work-related factors influencing employee wellbeing. Participants will also develop the ability to provide appropriate workplace social support, aligned with organisational practices and Psychosocial Risk Management (PRisMA) principles.
In addition, the course addresses professional boundaries, ethical considerations, referral practices, and structured follow-up, ensuring that support is delivered appropriately, sustainably, and within workplace roles. By the end of the course, participants will not only know what to say, but also how and when to say it, using a clear and practical framework that strengthens employee wellbeing and fosters supportive, psychologically safe workplace relationships.

This is a practical, hands-on course designed for fresh graduates who want to stand out in competitive job markets. Rather than focusing on expensive equipment or flashy effects, the course builds three core capabilities: a clear, employer-centred story, confident on-camera presence, and simple production skills that make a video look and sound professional using tools students already have. Across three units, participants learn to translate their CV into a concise, compelling narrative, practise delivering that message with confidence, and then package it in a polished video format suitable for sharing with recruiters, on professional platforms or as part of a digital portfolio. By the end of the course, each learner will have created at least one complete video résumé and developed a repeatable process they can refine as their skills and experiences grow.
